One person’s old sweater is another person’s treasure—and at Upcycling Sweaters Camp, kids will turn boring pullovers into magical creations! Whether it’s transforming a sweater into cozy mittens, a whimsical pillow, or an adorable stuffed animal, this camp is all about giving old things new life. Along the way, campers will discover the joy of sustainable crafting, plus the thrill of saying, “I made this!” when someone asks about their new favorite accessory.

Silvia Santana, a longtime Waldorf educator, brings her expertise and warm teaching style to this camp. With Silvia at the helm, campers will leave with fabulous creations—and maybe even a new favorite hobby.

Auxiliary Programs, Break and Summer Camps

Cedarwood will issue a full refund for a program or camp canceled by the school. Any cancellation of a camp by Cedarwood will take place at least two weeks in advance of the camp start date. A camp may be canceled if there are fewer than 10 students enrolled.

Camps may also be canceled due to high heat or poor air quality. In the case of poor air quality due to wildfires, camps will be closed for the day if the air quality is rated 151 or higher (unhealthy) by 6:30 a.m. and there is reason to believe it will remain so for a substantial portion of the day.

Parent Cancellations:

If a parent or guardian cancels 1 month prior to the start date of camp, Cedarwood will issue a 50% refund.

If a parent or guardian cancels 1 week prior to the start date of camp, no refund will be made.

Cedarwood reserves the right to cancel a camp due to low enrollment up to 1 month prior to the camp start date. 

Auxiliary programs may be canceled due to low enrollment after the 2nd week.  Cedarwood will refund 100% of the cost.

If an auxiliary program session is canceled by the teacher, it is up to the discretion of the teacher to reschedule.
