Get ready to laugh, craft, and bring new characters to life at Puppet Camp! From the simplest sock puppets to intricate marionettes, campers will learn that puppets are the original cool kids of theater. Using fabric, wood, and just about anything they can get their hands on, kids will craft expressive creations that walk, talk, and maybe even do a little dance. By the end of the week, these puppets will take center stage in a play guaranteed to make you smile (and probably clap really loudly).

Guiding this magical journey is Gia Davis, Cedarwood’s Practical Arts Teacher, who has been teaching handwork and sewing since 2001. With her expertise, campers will leave with puppets that are as inspired as they are hilarious.

CEDARWOOD CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY FOR 2025: 

Auxiliary Programs, Break and Summer Camps

Cedarwood will issue a full refund for a program or camp canceled by the school. Any cancellation of a camp by Cedarwood will take place at least two weeks in advance of the camp start date. A camp may be canceled if there are fewer than 10 students enrolled.

Camps may also be canceled due to high heat or poor air quality. In the case of poor air quality due to wildfires, camps will be closed for the day if the air quality is rated 151 or higher (unhealthy) by 6:30 a.m. and there is reason to believe it will remain so for a substantial portion of the day.

Parent Cancellations:

If a parent or guardian cancels 1 month prior to the start date of camp, Cedarwood will issue a 50% refund.

If a parent or guardian cancels 1 week prior to the start date of camp, no refund will be made.

Cedarwood reserves the right to cancel a camp due to low enrollment up to 1 month prior to the camp start date. 

Auxiliary programs may be canceled due to low enrollment after the 2nd week.  Cedarwood will refund 100% of the cost.

If an auxiliary program session is canceled by the teacher, it is up to the discretion of the teacher to reschedule.
