Pack your imagination—this week, we’re going time-traveling! In Exploring the Ancient Western World, campers will journey through Mesopotamia, Egypt, Greece, and Rome, learning about these legendary civilizations through hands-on adventures. They’ll bake bread like an ancient Egyptian, craft Mesopotamian cylinder seals, write poetry worthy of a Roman bard, and even compete in their very own Olympic Games. The grand finale? A Greek Saturnalia celebration complete with costumes and storytelling.

This camp is led by Janice Guion, whose passion for history is as infectious as her knowledge is vast. With a background in Classics and Ancient Greek, Janice makes history come alive in a way that will have your kids begging to learn more about Mesopotamian ziggurats.

CEDARWOOD CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY FOR 2025: 

Auxiliary Programs, Break and Summer Camps

Cedarwood will issue a full refund for a program or camp canceled by the school. Any cancellation of a camp by Cedarwood will take place at least two weeks in advance of the camp start date. A camp may be canceled if there are fewer than 10 students enrolled.

Camps may also be canceled due to high heat or poor air quality. In the case of poor air quality due to wildfires, camps will be closed for the day if the air quality is rated 151 or higher (unhealthy) by 6:30 a.m. and there is reason to believe it will remain so for a substantial portion of the day.

Parent Cancellations:

If a parent or guardian cancels 1 month prior to the start date of camp, Cedarwood will issue a 50% refund.

If a parent or guardian cancels 1 week prior to the start date of camp, no refund will be made.

Cedarwood reserves the right to cancel a camp due to low enrollment up to 1 month prior to the camp start date. 

Auxiliary programs may be canceled due to low enrollment after the 2nd week.  Cedarwood will refund 100% of the cost.

If an auxiliary program session is canceled by the teacher, it is up to the discretion of the teacher to reschedule.
