August 11 - August 15
Rising Grades 2nd - 6th

Camp Time:
8:30am - 3:00pm

Discover the magic of the natural world in Wildcrafting and Nature Camp! Young adventurers will explore the wonders of local plants and herbs, diving into hands-on activities like foraging, making natural dyes, brewing teas, and creating delicious foods and unique crafts. Campers will also learn practical skills in identifying native plants, seed starting, and seed saving, all while connecting deeply with the rhythms of the earth.

Guiding this adventure is the multitalented Nanni Richardson, Cedarwood’s summer camp coordinator. With a background as an organic farmer, handwork teacher, and tiny house builder, Nanni brings her lifelong love of plants and creativity to every moment of camp. Her connection to the natural world and her knack for making learning fun ensure that campers leave inspired, skilled, and with a newfound appreciation for the wonders of nature.

Join us for a week of wildcrafting, curiosity, and connection—because nothing says summer like getting your hands dirty and your creativity blooming!

CEDARWOOD CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY FOR 2025:

Auxiliary Programs, Break and Summer Camps

Cedarwood will issue a full refund for a program or camp canceled by the school. Any cancellation of a camp by Cedarwood will take place at least two weeks in advance of the camp start date. A camp may be canceled if there are fewer than 10 students enrolled.

Camps may also be canceled due to high heat or poor air quality. In the case of poor air quality due to wildfires, camps will be closed for the day if the air quality is rated 151 or higher (unhealthy) by 6:30 a.m. and there is reason to believe it will remain so for a substantial portion of the day.

Parent Cancellations:

If a parent or guardian cancels 1 month prior to the start date of camp, Cedarwood will issue a 50% refund.

If a parent or guardian cancels 1 week prior to the start date of camp, no refund will be made.

Cedarwood reserves the right to cancel a camp due to low enrollment up to 1 month prior to the camp start date.

Auxiliary programs may be canceled due to low enrollment after the 2nd week.  Cedarwood will refund 100% of the cost.

If an auxiliary program session is canceled by the teacher, it is up to the discretion of the teacher to reschedule.

If your family needs a reduced rate to participate in summer camp, please email Antonella Focarino at afocarino@cedarwoodschool.org and tell us a little about your situation.
