Flower Sun Catcher Mobile
By Ms. Monica, Woodland Garden Teacher
As the sunshiny days return, this is a fun project for both you and your children to not only gather treasures from nature, but to also capture some golden light in your home!
Materials:
Flowers
Twin or string
Stick
Mason jar rings
Scissors
Tape
Parchment paper or clear contact paper
Pencil or marker
First go out into your backyard or on a neighborhood walk and gather some beautiful flowers!
Trace a circle onto your parchment paper or clear contact paper using the mason jar ring. You will need two circles for each mason jar ring.
Arrange your beautiful flowers in the middle of the circle. The second circle you traced will be used later on.
Use tape to adhere flowers to the parchment paper. If you’re using contact paper you will not need to do this step.
Next, cut out your circle with flowers now adhered to the paper.
Cut out the second circle that you traced previously and place it on top of your flower circle. Next, fasten your string to the mason jar ring.
Place your flower circle into the mason jar ring. Repeat step for all your flower circles.
Arrange your flower sun catchers onto your stick to make it a beautiful mobile and then hang it in a sunny window!
